I Figured It Out
Too Late.
You Don't Have To.
I built Underdog MIF Academy because I know exactly what it feels like to be the late-blooming player who does everything right — and still gets overlooked.
I was a 125-pound sophomore with no real development plan, and spent years trying to figure everything out on my own. I eventually built myself into a 6'1", 180+ lb, three-year starting college shortstop with a 100 mph exit velocity — but by the time I truly understood how to train, develop my body, and build the metrics college coaches look for, my recruiting window had already passed.
I figured it out so you don't have to.
That's why I built this.
My Mission
Every late-blooming player I coach gets the plan I wish I had when I was 14, 15, or 16. A clear system for getting stronger, hitting the ball harder, throwing harder, moving better, and developing the measurable tools that can help get you on a college coach's radar.
No guessing. No piecing together random workouts from Instagram and YouTube. No waiting until senior year and realizing you're running out of time.
You can be the hardest-working player on your team. But if you're serious about playing college baseball, that work needs to be pointed in the right direction.
I waited too long to figure that out.
My goal is to make sure you don't.
Being Good
Isn't Enough.
Late-blooming players need to prove they have the tools.
You can hit .350 on your summer team. You can make every routine play. You can be the hardest worker on the field.
But when you show up at a showcase at 150 lbs with an 80 MPH exit velocity, coaches don't see the player you could become.
They see the metrics in front of them.
